Introducing SLIS' Pathfinder Journal!
Hello all,
I’m excited to share this pre-call for parties interested in submitting work to, becoming a
peer-reviewer for, and/or joining the editorial team of Pathfinder: A Canadian Journal for
Information Science Students and Emerging Professionals.

Pathfinder is a new, student-led and open access journal dedicated to promoting the
scholarly work of students and early career information professionals from across
Canada. Based at the University of Alberta, issues are to be published once a year and
peer-reviewed by current Master of Library and Information Studies (MLIS) and PhD
students.
Pathfinder welcomes original scholarship in the fields of library science, information
studies, and archives from current Canadian LIS or archival students, library tech
ted from information career professionals (individuals that graduated from information
science programs within 2 years). The aim of the journal is to disseminate scholarship
including articles, literature reviews, posters, book reviews, teaching resources and
reflections.
Please anticipate a formal call to be emailed out in mid-October.
